John D. Zalewski

John D. Zalewski has practiced law in Hawai‘i for over 30 years, concentrating his practice in civil litigation and commercial litigation.

Mr. Zalewski received his bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Minnesota and a Doctor of Law from the University of Wisconsin. He then worked for a “Big 8” accounting firm, obtaining a CPA license (presently inactive).

Before entering private practice, Mr. Zalewski served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Hawai‘i, where he tried cases involving the commission of white collar crime in all of Hawaii’s circuit courts.

Mr. Zalewski is admitted to practice in all courts in Hawai‘i and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is a member of the Hawai‘i State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He achieved the rank of godan in the Japanese martial art of Kendo.

Mr. Zalewski is married. He has two sons who reside in Los Angeles and Honolulu. During his spare time, he enjoys physical activities, following sports, listening to podcasts, and most of all, going out to dinner with his spouse.

Lissa H. Andrews

For over three decades, Lissa Andrews has practiced law in Hawai‘i in the fields of civil and commercial litigation.

Ms. Andrews has successfully represented her clients in trial, arbitration, mediations and appeals in both federal and state courts. Ms. Andrews is aware of the need for successful case resolution based on early mediation and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. She is an Arbitrator for the State of Hawai‘i Court Annexed Arbitration Program.

Ms. Andrews has a degree in social work from the University of Hawai‘i, and graduated from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa School of Law, where she was an editor of the University of Hawai‘i Law Review. Ms. Andrews clerked at the Hawai‘i Supreme Court for Associate Justice, the Honorable Frank D. Padgett, and at the United States District Court for the District of Hawai‘i, for the Honorable David E. Ezra.

In her time off, Ms. Andrews enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, cat and dog. She also likes walking, practicing yoga and keeping abreast of key events affecting the world on a daily basis.

Ms. Andrews is a member of America’s Top 100 Attorneys, and has been recognized for her work in general litigation by Super Lawyers from 2012 to the present.
